Autumn offer: free protective tube with every print
The Process – what happens between the shutter and your screen
My promise.
Every photograph on this site is the frame exactly as it came off the film. No retouching. No cropping. No filters. No dust removal. No AI.
The cameras.
I shoot with Contax film cameras: the Contax ST, RTS III and 167MT with Carl Zeiss lenses, and the Contax TVS III when I want something small in my pocket. Manual focus, real film, and every frame counts. There's no delete button.

Development and scanning.
My films are developed and scanned by a professional photo lab using standard chemistry. The scan is the final image. I don't touch levels, colour, contrast or sharpness.
What you see is what happened.
Grain, a slightly wrong exposure, a light leak: if it happened on film, it stays. Until the film is developed there's no guarantee of the result. That's the beauty of analog photography.

Watermark.
Previews on this website carry a small watermark and are reduced in size to protect my work. The watermark is only on the web preview. Prints and digital files you buy are clean.
Prints.
Prints are made by a professional photo lab on high-quality photographic paper. Want to know more about paper or framing? Just ask me.
Proof.
When you buy an original negative, you receive the physical film itself, so you can check everything with your own eyes.
